Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player won his maiden title for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has had a torrid season, winning just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serve in especial - led to him exiting of the top ten and finally parting ways with long-time trainer Cervara.
Currently training with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a hard-fought three-set triumph over opponent Moutet.
This represents the player's first championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt after March of that year.
Victory also signifies the Russian has won 21 championships at twenty-one distinct events.
"It's the first time I have attended a event with my children simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," stated ranked player Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had lost his previous six title deciders, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
His counter-punching play style and recurring emotional displays on the tennis court had caused observers to question if his capacity to play at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the player has made changes in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and play aggressively, backed up by an better serving game.
Medvedev fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, winning four of the last five games to go ahead.
The pair exchanged breaks in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his initial ATP Tour victory, took control to force a third set.
The opponent saved four initial opportunities in a competitive final set before the champion won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured the win with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman incapable to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
